Oxycontin / Oxycodone is considered a short acting opiate. Most people addicted to Oxycontin can participate in a 9 day or 18 day addiction detox program. We ask individuals to taper down to 120 mgs or less a day before arrival. There are some Oxycontin users that can benefit from a 30 day program if they have a long history of abuse or if they have been taking a longer acting opiate in conjunction with Oxycontin such as methadone, subutex and/or suboxone.
